On this Writers’ Voices, we’ll be speaking with Stephen Hopson. Stephen was born deaf, but had the dream at a young age to become a pilot. He made aviation history, as an adult, by becoming the world’s first deaf instrument-rated pilot. For 15 years, he also had a very successful career on Wall Street. In 1996 he had an epiphany that inspired him to leave Wall Street behind to pursue a career as a motivational speaker and author. His first book, “Obstacle Illusions; Transforming Adversity into Success” tells stories from Stephen’s life, from childhood to adulthood, and shares lessons he has learned along the way.
