Richard Heinberg is a Senior Fellow of Post Carbon Institute and the author of eight books including The Oil Depletion Protocol, The Party’s Over, Powerdown, and Peak Everything. Heinberg is widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost Peak Oil educators.

He writes a regular column for The Ecologist, and his essays and articles have appeared in such journals asTransition Culture, The American Prospect, The Futurist, European Business Review, Alternative Press Review, Earth Island Journal,The Sun, Power Down, and ; and on web sites such as ProjectCensored.com, Alternet.org, EnergyBulletin.net, Counterpunch.com and GlobalPublicMedia.com.

You may have seen Heinberg in numerous video documentaries, including the feature film, Crude Impact, and Leonardo DiCaprio’s 11th Hour.

In the news, Heinberg has been interviewed by Al-Jazeera, and was a guest on ABC Lateline. Reporter Kerry O’Brien spoke of Heinberg in an interview with Australian Prime Minister Rudd on Australian national television.
