I’m sorry, Tinky
that it was me,
who let you go out one last time.
We always let you go out at night. .
you always came back.
I didn’t know that Mommy wasn’t
going to let you go out. .she
didn’t tell me until after I found
you the next morning.
If only we hadn’t taught you to meow
before you went out. .
You would still be here;
playing with your little furry
toy mouse on the rug.
But, it is too late to fix anything now.
Not for a second did Mommy or I regretĀ keeping you.
We both loved you so much. The house and yard are
not the same without our “little boy.”
I’m sorry that I paddled you sometimes. .
I tried not to hurt you.
You didn’t need them very often,
you were always a really good boy.
