August 27 1 pm CST, August 30, 8 am – Amy Boesky, “What We Have: A Memoir” from Gotham books. Amy Boesky is a previvor, someone with a “cancer gene.”  This deeply moving book goes right to the core of life in the face of cancer.

September 3, 1 pm CST,  Dr. Eboo Patel, “Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation.”   Dr. Patel is the founder and executive director of the Interfaith Youth Core, a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to building bridges between young people of different faiths, through finding shared values and service to humanity.
