Peter Kalmus on his book- Being the Change, “I view society as kind of like a wave, where individuals are the water molecules – we are moved by the culture and we move the culture…I’m so concerned about what we’re doing, as a species, to the biosphere that gives us our life. I feel it’s far more important for me to speak out then have a safe career. … Life on one tenth the fossil fuels could appear to be a little bit extreme, weighed against … the urgency of change, maybe it’s not extreme enough.”
I think there is an intimate connection between individual change and collective change.
Most human beings have and almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted.
