Monica and Caroline talk with Ann Hood about the writing life and her new novel for young readers – She loves you Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. ” It was fun to remember my young self like that and how earnest I was about all these things….One of the things that was fun was recreating, for the readers of today, what it was like to not have cell phones or google maps or a computer; and how we navigated the world, how kids navigated the world.”
I get to do what I love everyday, which is use my imagination. I get to write stories. I get to teach young writers, which is very fun and fulfilling; and I get to see my book on book shelves…the thrill never fades.
Of course there are joys and sorrows but sometimes the deepest sorrow brings the way to lasting joy.
