I think you have to ask yourself what do I need to do to overcome.” Writers Voices talks writing and mystery writing with Elena Hartwell on her new novel – Three Strikes You’re Dead. “I think the two primary things that worked for me is that I was never not working on the next book…The second thing is as a playwright you get rejected constantly… as a playwright the expectation is that you’re gonna get turned down over and over again…so I already had the mindset that it’s okay if it gets turned down, someone else may say yes.”

Rejection is not personal and its not permanent.
