It’s about hierarchy in the hospital, mother daughter relationships. female relationships at work and it’s also about the immigrant experience, The main character is an immigrant ( and an orderly)…I’m really writing about outsiderness.
She is also medical doctor. “There are quite a few doctors who are writers, and why?…We see humanity in all it’s shapes, in all it’s forms. good and bad and everything in-between, We pay attention to details, we hear stories. Stories are a big component, we hear stories all the time. It’s interesting but there is a long tradition of doctor writers.”

It’s taken me a long time to take myself seriously as a writer.
