Judithe Little talks with us about her latest work of historical fiction – The Chanel Sisters.
“ I was first drawn to the idea when I found out Coco had a sister, because I had no idea that she even did. And then I was just so intrigued by the idea of what it would have been like to have been the younger sister of Coco Chanel.”
“…Coco had a very long and very complicated life, Antoinette was kind of lost in the shadows of Coco’s life….From my research I discovered that she played a big role in the founding of the Chanel empire. Most of Coco’s biographers have so much on their hands dealing with Coco that they didn’t pay a lot of attention to Antoinette…. I just really wanted to tell the story of her and Antoinette.”

( I ) started writing when my kids were little as an escape and a bit of a stress reliever… it’s still the same an imaginary world that I can make up and go hide in for a little while if I need to and where I can make the characters do what I tell them to do.
