It is a novel that reads like a memoir. Rebecca Warner’s “My Dad, My Dog” gives us a window into the life a of a woman caring for a father with dementia. It is a heartfelt tribute to care givers everywhere.
“About 53 million Americans provide care without pay to an ailing or aging loved one, and they do it for an average of twenty four hours a week.”
” When you think about someone taking care of every bodily function of a person, on top of giving them emotional support and being kind and patient,, They are remarkable people…. I admire them very much.

I truly believe that care giving for loved ones cannot be looked upon as a volunteer position any longer. The sacrifice for the care givers is just to great to ignore.
It’s not how much you do, but how much love you put into the doing.
