Lori got the idea for the novel talking to her nephew about social media ” It started to get me fascinated by the idea of how people are getting their news, adults but especially these teen’s who have grown up in a very different world… Their access to information coming from sources and channels that just didn’t exist,… even ten years ago. It is a double edged sword and it creates questions that teens just don’t have the tools to deal with, adults either really. What sources are trust worthy and how do we determine that?”
“As much as (the book) is about big topics, it really is how they affect the people, the characters, that are kind of the most important part of any story….My books always feel to me, to be mostly about family.”

We’ve become primed to want to believe the fantastical… That is the thing people kind of gravitate towards, regardless where ( the information) is coming from.
